Security Clearance Status: Not Required Collins Aerospace is
currently looking to bring on a Quality Inspector II for our San
Marcos, TX Site Location. Inspectors perform visual and dimensional
inspection of parts, subassemblies, and major assemblies in meeting
blueprint and specification requirements. Inspections consist of
using standard measuring instruments as well as special measuring
instruments and gages. If you have Inspection Skills Consider
Joining our Team! Work 2nd Shift (3pm-11:30pm) Monday – Friday What
You Will Do: Work varying shifts, including but not limited to
days, weekends, and holidays as required Perform detailed visual
and physical product inspections on in-process and finished goods,
including but not limited to First Article Inspections. Document
characteristics of products accurately and with technical detail.
Initiate Quality Notifications for any non-conforming products.
Apply quality assurance procedures and requirements to the
inspection of hardware and to document reviews. Identify any
potential quality issues early and help to prevent their
occurrence. Communicate effectively to other Collins Aerospace
personnel any quality issues needing resolution. Read, interpret
and utilize Quality policies, procedures, blueprints and other
documentation. Be Self-directed and action-oriented and work with
minimal supervision Take and pass color/vision test Stand for 6
hours per day Monitor the use of calibrated measuring instruments.
Safely Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications You Must
Have: HS Diploma with a Minimum of 1 year of relevant inspection,
Assembly and/or manufacturing experience Experience performing
detailed product inspections using blueprints and specifications
Experience in using precision measuring tools, such as micrometers
and calipers. Qualifications We Prefer: Basic math skills including
addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions and
percentages Experience utilizing computer systems including input
of data and retrieval of information for inspections and
configuration purposes Experience in reviewing documents and
identifying and resolving any errors or missing information
Experience with basic computer skills including the ability to use
operating software including SAP Experience with Basic software
applications (CMM and Photogrammetry) 2 years in an Aerospace
