Job Description:
A company is looking for a Coder Outpatient.
Key Responsibilities
Abstract, code, sequence, and interpret clinical information from
various medical records
Assign correct principal and secondary diagnoses and procedure
codes while ensuring accurate sequencing
Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and track
productivity levels
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
Successful completion of an AAPC or AHIMA-approved Coding
Certificate Program
Minimum of three years of current production coding experience in
acute care
Credential through AHIMA or AAPC
Experience working in an outpatient setting at a teaching facility
or trauma level 1 facility
Experience with Cerner and 3M systems
