Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Veterinarian to join our team, specializing in end-of-life care. In this role, you will provide in-home euthanasia and hospice services, ensuring a peaceful and dignified farewell for pets. Our ideal candidate deeply understands the significance of pet companionship and is committed to supporting families during these critical moments with emotional sensitivity and expert medical care. Perform in-home euthanasia and hospice care as needed. Communicate compassionately with pet owners, providing emotional support and clear explanations during consultations. Prescribe treatment and care plans tailored to individual pet needs. Coordinate with veterinary technicians and other healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive care. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records. Educate pet owners on end-of-life care and management. Stay abreast of the latest developments in veterinary medicine for hospice care. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to handle emotional situations with sensitivity. Expertise in veterinary palliative care and pain management.
