for someone to join our team as a PACE Director, RN who: The PACE
Director, RN is responsible for providing executive leadership and
oversight of all operational and clinical aspects of multiple PACE
Interdisciplinary Teams (IDTs). This role ensures participants
receive timely access to services, high-quality care, and excellent
customer service while maintaining compliance with CMS, DHCS, and
PACE program standards. The Director RN oversees the equitable
distribution of resources across center-based and support service
operations, including the PACE clinic, day center, transportation,
home care, therapies, nutrition, 24/7 nurse line, and
social/behavioral health services. Serving as the senior liaison
between Center Operations and Support Service leadership, the
Director RN is accountable for administrative, operational, and
clinical outcomes across multiple IDTs. The position is critical to
achieving PACE’s mission, strategic goals, and values, and plays a
key role in advancing quality, cost-effectiveness, participant
satisfaction, and regulatory compliance. Essential Functions:
Demonstrates effective communication and problem-solving skills in
all aspects of leadership and participant services. Promotes and
models the mission, vision, and values of the PACE program,
fostering staff engagement and understanding. Works collaboratively
with PACE leadership and clinical leaders in the development,
implementation, and evaluation of healthcare services. Serves in a
primarily administrative and leadership capacity, while maintaining
clinical competency and providing direct RN coverage for
center-based, clinic, or home health nursing functions as needed
during staffing transitions, absences, or operational exigencies .
Maintains active RN licensure and competencies sufficient to
provide clinical leadership, oversight, and limited direct care
when required. Provides direct supervision to Registered Nurse
managers and leads across PACE operations, including center-based
nursing, clinic nursing, and home health nursing. Provides indirect
oversight of licensed and unlicensed nursing and personal care
staff through subordinate RN leadership roles. Serves as interim or
backup RN leadership for center, clinic, or home health operations
as needed until permanent positions are filled. Collaborates with
PACE leadership to ensure continuity of nursing leadership coverage
across all settings. Achieves participant access, quality, and
financial performance objectives. Other Responsibilities: Provides
direct supervision to Center and Support Services Managers,
ensuring accountability and professional growth. Leads employees to
accomplish departmental and organizational objectives; inspires
confidence and motivation; defines clear expectations; and
maintains personal effectiveness under pressure. Utilizes data and
metrics to drive efficiency, quality improvement, and staff
empowerment. In collaboration with PACE leadership, develops,
monitors, and analyzes budgets and financial information; ensures
effective and economical use of resources. Supports a culture of
transparency by developing, sharing, and updating dashboards,
reports, and data with Center and Support Services Managers.
Ensures equitable allocation of human resources across multiple
IDTs to meet participant care needs. Ensures all centers and
support services maintain compliance with federal and state
regulations, CMS and DHCS requirements, and PACE program standards.
Facilitates preparation for regulatory audits and surveys; ensures
readiness across all centers and support services. You'll be
successful with the following qualifications: Graduate of an
accredited school of professional nursing Current unencumbered CA
Registered Nurse (RN) License. Current BLS CPR Card certified by
American Heart Association The ADCO RN must have one of the
following qualifications: Master’s Degree, preferred; A registered
nurse with a baccalaureate or higher degree in nursing or other
health related field with three (3) years of experience within the
last five (5) years in a home health agency, primary care clinic or
health facility A registered nurse with four (4) years nursing
experience within the last five (5) years in a home health agency,
primary care clinic or health facility. Minimum of five (5) years’
experience supervising licensed staff in a health care setting.
