Job Description:

Job Title: Cath Lab Technician Job Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 10-hour days with call, first to float Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience License: Required Certifications: ARRT, BLS, Fluoroscopy Must-Have: - Current cath lab experience - Comfortable with conscious and moderate sedation - Experience with procedural processes, airway management, cardiac drips (such as Integrilin, dopamine, and vasopressors), and balloon pumps Job Description: - This position involves working in a facility with a STEMI receiving capability. - The lab has 5 suites dedicated as follows: 2 primarily for coronary cases, 1 for peripheral cases, 1 for vascular and neuro cases, and 1 for EP cases. - On average, 10 to 22 cases are handled per day across all suites. - Weeknight call requirements include rotating for inpatient and emergent cases, about once a week. - Weekend call rotates monthly, typically running from Friday evening through Monday morning, subject to change based on unit needs. - Must be familiar with the Cerner Charting System. - The position includes a 12-hour orientation session. - Cath Lab Techs work in pairs, with one tech scrubbing and another monitoring hemodynamics, under the assistance of an RN for conscious sedation. - A lead tech is responsible for making room assignments and coordinating with RNs or additional techs as needed.
