Job Description Job Description Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic Job Description We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to work with extrusion machines, conducting both corrective and preventative maintenance. The role involves troubleshooting and fixing manufacturing equipment such as switches, relays, and circuit breaker panels, as well as motors, drives, gear boxes, rollers, and addressing timing issues within plastic extrusion and conversion processes. The use of blueprints and schematics is integral to this position. Responsibilities Conduct corrective and preventative maintenance on extrusion machines. Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment including switches, relays, and circuit breaker panels. Maintain and fix motors, drives, gear boxes, and rollers. Address timing issues in the plastic extrusion and conversion processes. Utilize blueprints and schematics for equipment maintenance and repair. Essential Skills 5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience with maintenance of plastic manufacturing equipment. Strong troubleshooting skills using schematics and blueprints. Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical repair. Additional Skills & Qualifications 2 years of experience with blown film or plastic converting equipment is a significant plus. Why Work Here? Work Environment The position is located within a plastics manufacturing environment characterized by loud machinery. The maintenance department consists of a team of 10 skilled mechanics. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of HUNTINGTON PARK, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $38.00/hr.
