Job Description Job Description Senior Staff Accountant $85,000 – $100,000 | Full-time | Monday- Friday | Located in San Marcos, CA We are seeking a Senior Staff Accountant with 5 years of experience owning and leading month-end and year-end close to support a growing, inventory-heavy agriculture-based organization. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in operational environments and wants to grow with a scaling company. Responsibilities: -Lead and own the full month-end and year-end close process, ensuring timely, GAAP-compliant, audit-ready financials -Prepare and post journal entries and maintain detailed balance sheet reconciliations in NetSuite -Own inventory accounting, including physical counts, system-to-physical reconciliations, and COGS adjustments -Prepare financial statements and management reporting -Support audits, sales/property tax filings, and ongoing process improvements -Partner cross-functionally with Operations to improve costing and inventory accuracy Qualifications: -Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance -5 years of progressive accounting experience with strong general ledger ownership -Proven experience leading month-end close in a multi-entity or operationally complex environment -Inventory accounting experience required -ERP experience required; NetSuite strongly preferred -Advanced Excel skills -Agriculture, food production, or manufacturing experience a plus -Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required -CPA or CPA-track preferred but not required Apply now to join a growing company with opportunities for growth and advancement!
